Why Wouldn't I Wanna Have the Cake AND Eat It???

"You can't have your cake and eat it, too..."

That just sounds RIDICULOUS... Could someone PLEASE explain to me why anyone in the world would like to have some cake and not eat it? Seriously... Is it just gonna sit up for decoration? You're just gonna look at it? Makes no sense to me...

Nothing worth having comes easily... That's for damned sure... There's a process that we must go through. We start from scratch, taking the different ingredients that life gives us & putting them all together... Every now and then, the recipe goes wrong... You know I'm not lying... TERRIBLY wrong... LoL... We just have to see what "unnecessary" ingredient we threw in the mix and remove it from the list...

These past few weeks have been a blessing to me.  I'm back in my hometown of Little Rock & it's EVIDENT that my city missed me... ;) LoL... No, but seriously... I've been able to spend some quality time with my mother that was loooooooooooong overdue...  She took care of me all my life.... Now, it's my turn to do for her... I've also been able to sit down & CLEARLY look at the ingredients that I've been working with over the past few years... A lot of expired stuff has been jacking up my recipe & I didn't even know it...

I want the cake... I want the WHOLE cake... And when I get the cake, I plan on devouring it... Enjoying every single morsel & appreciating the care that was placed into making it...

The Company That You Keep... Be Mindful, Homie... IJS...

Friends... HOW MANY OF US HAVE THEM??? These days, I hear females refer to any and everyone as their "friend"... Folks that they just meet they turn right around and introduce them as their "friend"... Do WHAT?!?!?!  How do you figure that???  That sounds ridiculous... Don't get me wrong... There's nothing wrong with being friendly... Shoot, I'm HELLA friendly... I strike up a conversation WHERE EVER I go... At the post office, the grocery store, the nail shop, the gas station... Whenever, wherever baby...  Friendly as ALL get-out... But I'm wise enough to know that these random people are NOT my friends... They are merely acquaintances... Associates, you could say... At the end of the day, I don't know them from Adam and they really don't know me...
