Battle of the Ex's... Not Even Worth the Fight, Boo...

I TRULY believe that one of the worst things that anyone can do in a relationship is to compare themselves to their mate's ex... And sadly, it's something that women do time and time again...  (Oh, some fellas do it, also...) We oftentimes look at the characteristics of our mate's "former love" and size ourselves up to them... SOOOOOO stupid... LoL...

If someone loves you and is with you, then you'd better believe that they're with you for a reason... They're with you for YOU... Take comfort in that and stop worrying about dumb shit... I've seen alot of relationships go all-the-way LEFT because folks let their insecurities get the best of them and then insane tension ensues...  It's a CONSTANT battle of the mind... And it's a battle that you'll never win... Believe that...

Sometimes, this battle takes place because of inner demons... That DANG-ON self- doubt I told you about!!! It rears its ugly head and makes you wonder if you're good enough for that special someone... You start to wonder if you can live up to their expectations... That's just CRAAAAAAZY!!!

An "ex" is an "ex" for a reason, sweetheart... And you've obviously been chosen as the "next"... Be proud that you're someone's upgrade... At the end of the day, no one can compare to you... ;)

There MUST be something in the water...

Look here... If I see ONE more young lady  girl between the ages of 12 and 15 with a fresh LACEFRONT, I'm going to  lose it... I'm sure of it... Another 7 year-old with acrylics JUST might send me over the edge... Is this the generation that will be making decisions concerning my healthcare? Is the fate of my old-age going to rest in the hands of these "boppas"?!?!?! Now, I know that back in my Central High School days, I participated in QUITE a bit of ratchetivity. I won't even lie like I didn't do my share of underage drinking or smoke a few blunts here & there... (I told ya'll, I have to keep it 100 during this experience... LOL) I can't even count the number of days that I skipped school and went to Denny's.  Football Friday nights were DESTINED to be filled with drunken slurs, minor fender benders, & cringe-worthy hook-ups...
